I'm Looking for a Spiritual Directorwith Rolling Ridge staff
To build bridges of understanding, we must take time to listen to the experiences of others.
Rolling Ridge launched "Voices and Stories" as an ONLINE series that uses historical education and contemplative listening to open hearts and minds to the events that have shaped American society today.
While we've considered topics related to racism, sexism, and faithism, we confront a different "ism" in April. In celebration of Earth Day weekend, we invite you to gather your animal companion and join us for a conversation on "speciesism": the assumption of human superiority leading to the exploitation of animals.
Join us Saturday morning, April 23rd from 9:30 to 11:30 am as Jenne Sindoni introduces us to a topic that often gets ignored in our anthropocentric (aka "human-centered") world. We will have opportunity to share about why our animal companions are important, listen to Jenne's story and learn more about the plight of animals in our "more is better" society. We will also consider what we are being called to do to live in communion with all creatures on Earth. Living into our connection with creation is the essence of eco-spirituality.
If you are not able to join us live on April 23rd, all registrants will receive a link to the recording following the event.
Although there is no fee for this program, your generous donation allows Rolling Ridge to continue our mission and ministry of contemplative spirituality. Thank you.
Please check out our website for other events in our Voices and Stories series.
