Classification: Permanent Part-Time, 10-25 hours a week, flexible

Reports to: Culinary Services Manager (primary) and Director of Guest Services (secondary)

Position Purpose: A Guest Services Host greets and welcomes guests of Rolling Ridge, and ensures that they have everything they need during their stay. Hosts are the face of Rolling Ridge, managing all tangible aspects of a guest's on-site experience with us, to ensure that individuals and groups have a comfortable and enjoyable time here at the Ridge. If you're good with people, able to problem-solve, and work well as part of team, we'd love to have you on board with us! Hours are flexible, and experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.

CHEF/Primary Dinner Cook

Classification: Permanent Full Time

Reports to: Kitchen Manager (primary) and Director of Guest Services (secondary)

Position Purpose: Assist Kitchen Manager and Guest Services Director in providing safe, nutritious, well-prepared meals, which are served to all guests.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Assist in the daily preparations of the food service department, with focus on dinners.

  • Prepare menus and cook the food to be served, including meals for special dietary restrictions
  • As needed, create desserts for the evening meal
  • work with and supervise kitchen assistants and hosts in the absence of the Kitchen Manager or Guest Services Director.
  • Have meals ready at scheduled times at proper temperature
  • Solve guests' concerns and other problems as they arise with grace ie: gust with previously unknown dietary restrictions
  • Operate kitchen equipment according to safe, recommended methods

2. Assist in routine sanitation of the kitchen and related equipment

  • Clean and maintain all food preparation and storage areas
  • Work with kitchen assistants and hosts to close down the kitchen at the end of the day
  • Lead by example working closely with staff to maintain the kitchen, equipment, store rooms, dining room, counters, waste cans, and floors at a high standard of cleanliness
  • Maintain health standards according to serv Safe requirements
  • Follow Rolling Ridge kitchen policies.
  • All other duties assigned


  • Ability to thrive in a United Methodist organization and a setting that embraces diverse faith beliefs.
  • Experience in institutional or food service setting
  • Knowledge of standards of food preparation and serving, storage of food, and kitchen procedures
  • Knowledge of and experience in preparation of special dietary foods including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and dairy free
  • Team player
  • Serv Safe Certified
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and move 50 pounds.

Classification:  On Call  Part-time
Reports to:  Housekeeping  Manager

Position Purpose:
The Housekeeper assists  the Housekeeping Manager in attending to the interior of the Rolling Ridge facilities, creating a clean and orderly environment for guests with integrity and attention to detail.

Essential Job Functions:
•    Strip Linens off of beds
•    Collect and empty trash and recycling from bedrooms , bathrooms and hallways
•    Vacuum, Swiffer and Dust bedrooms and hallways
•    Fill paper towels, toilet paper and soap dispensers in bathrooms
•    Fold towels
•    Stock Linen closets

•    Ability to thrive in a United Methodist organization and setting that embraces diverse faith beliefs
•    Ability to work as part of a team
•    Ability to work a flexible schedule
•    Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
•    Customer oriented and friendly
•    Ability to read English and follow a daily check list
•    A 30 day trial period is offered for this position
•    This position has no guaranteed hours. Is based on guest room turnovers
