Things Hidden: Rohr Book Studywith Larry Jay
Discover the extensive works of award winning, sculptor Mico Kaufman (1924 - 2016).
Kaufman's diverse works on the campus of Rolling Ridge have delighted guests and retreatants since their installations beginning in 2019. This special event as part of Artist Week 2026 will first introduce you to the pieces at Rolling Ridge and then tour some of Kaufman's other works in Tewksbury and Lowell. Each stop will offer you time to respond through art (to the extent you are comfortable), and engage in conversation with others.
We will begin the day at Rolling Ridge. You will be able to drive yourself to the locations or carpool with others, returning to the Ridge or heading home following our final stop. Lunch will be provided and enjoyed at the Tewksbury United Methodist Church were Kaufman's famous "Touching Souls" is located (pictured above). Other stops tentatively planned include: "Water" and "Wamesit Indian" in Tewksbury, and "Homage to Women” and "James McNeil Whistler Memorial" in Lowell.
Cost: $92 (includes program from 9:30-4:00, pastries and lunch) You will need to cover your own transportation costs to and from Tewksbury and Lowell, or share costs in a carpool with other retreatants to be determined on that day.

Mico Kaufrman Scuplture Field Trip Tour is part of our fourth annual ARTIST WEEK at Rolling Ridge from May 26-29, 2026 with overnight options.
Artist Week is a spacious opportunity to spend time with other creative folks who are discovering the divine intersection of art and spirituality and expressing beauty through images and words. Our Moses Meeting will be converted into a community Art Studio for the week with workshops and space for artistic expression in all its diversity of forms. You are invited to bring your art supplies and journal to capture the ways you will be inspired by the beauty of the land and the people you will meet as you create during the week. Draw, write, paint, sculpt, create, follow the creative lead of the Creative Spirit.
