Lenten Prayer Journey 2022

Program Details

As we prepare for Easter, we invite you to join Rolling Ridge for an ONLINE Lenten Prayer Journey. During the Vesper Hour from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, beginning March 6, the Sunday after Ash Wednesday, for 7 weeks through Easter on April 17th.

Although optional, the book, Wondrous Encounters: Scriptures for Lent by Richard Rohr, will guide the weekly Vespers with daily readings and prayers from selective works by Richard Rohr.

To strengthen you for the Lenten Journey, you are also encouraged to join us for the overnight Taize Lenten Retreat (March 6-7) or the day-only Lenten Quiet Day (March 7). Click the links for more information on registration and fees. See below for other Lenten experiences this season.

While there is no charge for our 7 week Sunday vespers Lenten Prayer Journey, your generous donation will allow Rolling Ridge to continue offering spiritual opportunities to encourage and support those who are seeking a touch of the Divine during these challenging times. About the Leaders

Lawrence Jay

As Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Lawrence Jay guides the vision and direction of Rolling Ridge. As well as working with our staff to ensure the best possible guest experience, he partners with retreat leaders to provide excellent programming at the Ridge. A trained spiritual director and ordained American Baptist pastor, Larry (as he is known by friends) is a graduate of UCLA, Golden Gate Seminary, Franciscan School of Theology, American Baptist Seminary of the West, and the Gateways to God Missional Spiritual Direction Program. He is also Adjunct Faculty at Merrimack College in the Masters of Spirituality and Spiritual Direction programs. Eco-spirituality is his passion (and was the subject of his doctoral dissertation), encouraging everyone to live into the fullness of our connection with nature, God, and all people.
