Artist Collaberative

Program Details

Join us for the first gathering of the Artist Collaborative at Rolling Ridge as we bring together artists to consider the divine intersection of art and spirituality.

"All is Calm, All is Bright" is the theme of the upcoming winter and spring show in our Lakeside Gallery Dining Room. Artists are invited to contribute their original pieces for show and to be part of a new opportunity through the Ridge to create community around our gallery.

In preparation, the Artist Collaborative is meeting ONLINE on Wednesday, November 11th at 4 pm eastern to share how this theme inspires their work for the show and/or how the theme is reflected in works that have already been completed. It is not so much an "art critique" as an art community coming together to discuss and share our art and creative projects.

Whether an artist chooses to submit work for the show or not is secondary to the opportunity that artists have to talk about the inspiration that goes into their work in bringing art and spirituality together for this upcoming show, "All is Calm, All is Bright".

There is no registration fee to join the Artist Collaboration conversation on November 11th. All are welcome!

Click here to submit work to be reviewed for the show. And save the date for the "All is Calm, All is Bright" Artist Reception: December 16 from 3:30-5:30 pm

Please note: There is a submission charge for works accepted into the show with a commission to Rolling Ridge for all sales.

Larry Jay

As Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Lawrence Jay guides the vision and direction of Rolling Ridge. In addition to working with staff to ensure an outstanding guest experience, he collaborates with retreat leaders to deliver exceptional programming and is available to speak about the ongoing ministry and historic mission of Rolling Ridge as a place of rest, retreat, and transformation. A trained spiritual director and ordained American Baptist pastor, Larry (as he is known by friends) is a graduate of UCLA, Golden Gate Seminary, Franciscan School of Theology, American Baptist Seminary of the West, and the Gateways to God Missional Spiritual Direction Program. He is also Adjunct Faculty at Merrimack College in the Masters of Spirituality and Spiritual Direction programs and was interviewed about his ministry on Dan Lee's podcast. Eco-spirituality is his passion (and was his doctoral dissertation), encouraging everyone to live into the fullness of our connection with our True Self, nature, God, and all people.
