"Holding me in your arms, Beloved, you have given me the greatest gift of all: Yourself." Marguerite Porete, 13th-century Christian mystic

To learn about God is a worthy pursuit. To experience God is all-together different. In these moments, we discover it is we who are informed, well beyond our understanding, in ways to which we can only point. For we’ve been given, as Marguerite Porete expressed, the greatest of gifts, the gift of the Beloved and our hearts can only bow in awe and gratitude.

In this 10-week ONLINE course, we’ll dive deep into a sampling of the sacred practices from across the major faith traditions. You’ll enjoy just a taste of the nectar that comes from being breathed, sounding the sacred, and emptying into fulness to create the conditions for moments of mystical unity with God. Such moments cannot be planned or willed. They only arise when the heart rests in the silence of our practice.

Join Rev. Stephanie Rutt as she facilitates this series via zoom on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm eastern beginning September 14th through November 16th.

While Rev. Stephanie will share the meaning and discuss the historical context of each practice, the majority of the time will be spent in actual practice, followed by silent contemplation, and a final sharing. Should you be so drawn, you’ll also be invited to take the practice of the evening and explore it over the following week. To support you, Rev. Stephanie will provide audios and share samples to explore. At the beginning of each class, those who may have done so will be offered the opportunity to share their experience. Then, we’ll move on to the new practice for the evening.

Come. You may just receive the greatest gift of all.

Cost for the series: $120 for 10 ONLINE 90 minute sessions (total of 15 hours). Unfortunately there is no part-time pro-rated registration.
