Dear Friend,
Over the past three weeks, we’ve been sending you stories that embody what Rolling Ridge is all about. Stories like Sandra’s, who told us that the training she received at Rolling Ridge helped her survive a heart attack! Stories like Tracy’s, who learned how to properly compost marshmallows, and deepened her connection to the spiritual side of the natural world. Stories like Kent’s, whose work as our Pray and Paddle coordinator allowed new audiences to experience contemplation for the first time.
Behind each of these stories, there are countless others: stories of people who have made Rolling Ridge what it is today, through their prayers, their presence, their participation, and their financial support. We give thanks for each and every one. Because of our amazing ‘Community of Generosity,’ Rolling Ridge has been able to connect thousands of people in the last year alone with the mysteries of faith, the beauty of the natural world, and an inclusive community filled with spiritual companions.
Bottom line: Rolling Ridge is all about “giving community” through our commitment to deep listening, spiritual companionship, and contemplative spirituality.
The reason we are able to have a transformative impact in the lives of people: because so many people generously support our ministry. People donate because they love the Ridge. You donate because you love the Ridge. You believe in our ministry as a safe and sacred space of natural beauty, gracious hospitality, and spiritual transformation—and you want to make a spiritual impact in the lives of others through us.
I’m writing to ask you to join our Community of Generosity, by making a year-end gift to Rolling Ridge. Many of our supporters give $75 or $100 at this time of year, asking us to put the money where it’s needed most. Others are able to give $500 or $1000 or even more, because they want to ensure that there is always a home for contemplative spirituality here in New England that connects ALL people, God, and creation. Whatever amount is right, I encourage you to give.
Your year-end gift isn’t simply a tribute to the past. It’s also an investment in our future. Next year—2023—marks the 75th anniversary of the Ridge. Our staff and Board of Directors have already begun a process of discernment, seeking a renewed vision for the Ridge as an intentional and inclusive community. (More about that in the months to come!) Your donation allows us to develop new programs, improve our beautiful facilities, and expand our ministry to new communities. With your help, Rolling Ridge can continue to serve as a safe and sacred place for the next 75 years and beyond.
If you’d like to make a donation, you can click the button below, or write to us at 660 Great Pond Rd, North Andover, MA, 01845.
And in closing, thank you for your prayers, your gifts, your service, and your stories. Wishing you a very happy New Year.
Peace and all good,
Rev. Dr. Lawrence Jay
Executive Director
