I'm Looking for a Spiritual Directorwith Rolling Ridge staff
To build bridges of understanding, we must take time to listen to the experiences of others.
Rolling Ridge launched "Voices and Stories" as an ONLINE series that uses historical education and contemplative listening to open hearts and minds to the events that have shaped American society today.
May is Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. To celebrate, Rolling Ridge has invited our local state representative, Tram Nguyen to share her story.
In 2018, Rep. Nguyen became the first Vietnamese American to be sworn into the Massachusetts Legislature after defeating a four-term lawmaker. As a first-generation immigrant from Vietnam, she was the first person in her family to graduate from college and law school. And since her election to public office, her career has been full of "firsts" as she continues to break through barriers and to push for laws that address issues of racial and economic justice and protect the rights of the most vulnerable populations. Her priorities also include education, healthcare, transportation, and equality, diversity and inclusion.
Join us on Tuesday, May 16th at 10 am as Tram takes off her political cap to share her story as an immigrant to the US at age 5 and how that experience continues to shape her passions for justice as a state representative for Essex County.
This will be a rare behind the scenes opportunity to hear how this public servant's inspiring personal story is intimately linked to her political priorities today. You do not want to miss this online event.
Although there is no fee for this program, your generous donation to assist Rolling Ridge is greatly appreciated as we celebrate 75 years of transforming lives here in the Merrimack Valley. Thank you.
