I'm Looking for a Spiritual Directorwith Rolling Ridge staff
BOOK STUDY CHANGE from The Humility of Godto From Teilhard to Omega:
Our Sunday afternoon Rolling Ridge book group begins 2023 with a book by Sister Ilia Delio in preparation for a virtual event with her on Saturday, April 29th entitled "Healing, Wholeness, and the Power of Love: Why Teilhard's Vision Matters."
Edited by Delio,From Teilhard to Omega: Co-creating an Unfinished Universefeatures essays by 13 scholars who "take off" from where Teilhard de Chardin "left off," opening new windows to the divine mystery,to the evo-loving person, and to the new energies of love needed for the forward movement of life. Each chapter features mind-expanding thoughts on the continuing evolution of consciousness and offers a good starting point for those who wish to explore Teilhard's ideas.
With some authors writing in a style that is easy to understand, and others writing in a more challenging way, our "first and third Sunday" online Rolling Ridge book group will provide space to unpack and explore the all-important truth that we and our universe are unfinished. In other words, we are co-creators with God and just one point in time of an on-going evolutionary process.
Our schedule for the first and third Sundays through July at 3 pm eastern:
- January 15 = Introduction and Chapter 1
- February 5 = Chapter 2
- February 19 = Chapter 3
- March 5 = Chapter 4
- March 19 = Chapter 5
- April 2 = Chapter 6
- April 16 = Chapter 7
- May 7 = Chapter 8
- May 21 = Chapter 9
- June 4 = Chapter 10
- June 18 = Chapter 11
- July 2 = Chapter 12
- July 16 = Chapter 13 and Conclusion
Although there is no charge for our book study, your generous donation allows the Ridge to continue offering spiritually inspiring events to connect all people, God, and creation as we create safe and sacred space for deep listening and spiritual companionship. Thanks for your support!
