I'm Looking for a Spiritual Directorwith Rolling Ridge staff
Sabbath is not a reward for finishing our work; it is the ground of our being, the rhythm that restores us, and the gift God offers to weary leaders who spend their days tending others. In this three‑day retreat, poet‑pastor Steve Garnaas‑Holmes guides clergy into a deeper experience of Sabbath as rest, renewal, and resistance to the relentless pace of ministry.
Through gentle teaching, contemplative prayer, silence, and reflective conversation, participants will explore Sabbath as:
A spiritual practice that reconnects us with God’s delight
A healing rhythm that honors our bodies, emotions, and limits
A countercultural stance that frees us from productivity‑driven identity
A communal gift that strengthens our ministry and the communities we serve
Steve’s warm presence and contemplative wisdom create a safe, spacious environment where clergy can breathe deeply, listen inwardly, and rediscover the joy of simply being. The retreat includes guided reflections, optional spiritual practices, time outdoors on the grounds of Rolling Ridge, and ample quiet for rest.
