Rohr Action and Contemplation Small Groupwith Lawrence Jay
Have you ever wondered about centering prayer? Join us on Monday, February 9th for a day of reflection as we consider Centering Prayer as a contemplative spiritual practice.
Contemplative Prayer has a rich tradition dating from the early centuries of the Christian church. It aims to foster a closer relationship with God, allowing us to hear God in the quiet -- particularly appropriate as we approach the season of Lent, which begins on Wednesday, February 18th. Father Bill Sheehan, OMI, will guide us through this day and share about the richness of Centering Prayer in the Catholic tradition.
This Day Apart at Rolling Ridge is open to anyone interested in learning more about growing closer to God and hearing the Divine in the quiet of Centering Prayer.
Please plan to arrive by 9 am for pastries and hot beverages so we can promptly begin at 9:30 am. Lunch will be served at 12:30 pm. We will conclude by 3:30 pm.
We do not want costs to limit participation in this day with Fr. Bill. Thus, there is no cost for this event. It is being offered "by donation." Please pay whatever you can afford. The suggested gift is $25 to cover the meal. However, if you are able to give more to help offset expenses for another person or even for a prayer team from a local parish, we would appreciate the generosity. Once meal costs are covered, a gift will be made to the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, Fr. Bill's order. Thank you for your donations.
