April 22, 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day and the birth of the modern environmental movement. Earth Day also offers us a moment to remember our spiritual connection with nature and to give thanks to God for the beauty of the Earth. Rolling Ridge Board Member, Kris Girrell, has prepared a stunning tribute to celebrate Earth Day and to encourage us to take some time in the temple of creation and to remember that even amid our current pandemic, "all is well."
With emerging public consciousness about the state of our common planetary home, we hope that you will once again fall in love with the Earth and recognize your interconnectedness with all of creation because of the incarnate Christ and our one Creator God As Baba Dioum (1968) has said, "In the end we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand; and we will understand only what we are taught." Happy Earth Day!!
