Program Details

After treatment for breast cancer, women return to their families and communities as changed beings. Yet, how does each woman adapt to and create this “new me”? Where does she envision herself as the healed woman she is? Where does she acknowledge the  transformation of her life after treatment?  How does she create the community needed to address these and other issues? How does she reinvent herself as a person affected by cancer?  What does wellness mean now?

Rolling Ridge in partnership with the Center for Mind Body Medicine ( www.cmbm.org)  will present a series of 6 sessions, in which  a safe and confidential community will be developed,  asking questions and offering skills that can help begin answering these and other questions. Each session begins with a simple meditation, then “check-in” where we explore what is being carried in our bodies and bring these thoughts and emotions into the circle.
There is no cost for the six sessions.
A weekly free will offering is appreciated.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Smith-Purdon Fund

Sunday Evenings from 6:30pm-8:30pm
Session Dates:  September 23 & 30, October 14, 21, and 28, November 4.
These workshops will be offered in the new CSL meeting space here at Rolling Ridge.  Call for assistance.
