Listening Together: Deeper than Words

“Listening Together” is the Rolling Ridge Continuing Education and Enrichment Experience for all who practice deep listening/ spiritual direction…for all who listen others into Life. Twice each year – Spring and Fall – we host this gathering with other deep listeners for three hours of intentional connections, pertinent conversations and shared resources that deepen and enrich our purposes and practices as deep listeners.

Spring 2024 Topic:

“Deeper Than Words” – BioSpiritual Focusing and Spiritual Direction

Have you ever felt your heart soar? Your stomach knot? Your breath catch? And wondered just what your body is telling you? BioSpiritual Focusing is a practice of spiritual companioning that invites us to pay loving attention to our body’s wisdom. This practice recognizes the body’s offer of a grounded spiritual link to our own living and to our connection with others, Creation, and the Divine.

This Continuing Education event will include:

• Background about BioSpiritual Focusing
• Facilitator Amy’s experience with making it a spiritual practice
• Possible uses for spiritual direction
• How BioSpiritual Focusing might support your ministry as a spiritual director.

During our time together, we also will experience “Clear a Space,” a centering technique that invites connection with our bodies and can be an opening for a Focusing session. We will share conversations over lunch together and will close our time together with discussing possible next steps for learning more. Hopefully this brief taste through “Listening Together: Deeper Than Words” will whet our appetites to explore more deeply this dynamic resource of BioSpiritual Focusing. Plan to join us online for this Continuing Education Experience.

Options: You are welcome to meet onsite at Rolling Ridge and join this Zoom experience from there, sharing our lunch conversation together in person (additional cost). For those onsite, you will be asked to bring a personal device through which you will individually zoom in and participate personally online while corporately onsite.  For those who are interested in joining us in-person, you are also welcome to plan your own unguided personal overnight retreat at the Ridge on Wednesday April 10 (additional cost).

COSTS (members of the Listening Collective will get a 10% discount with registration):

• $54.00 – Online Only Program ($49 for Listening Collective members)
• $76.00 – Onsite at the Ridge with Online program and lunch  ($69 for Listening Collective members)
