Indigenous Peoples Month - Impact of Place with Speaker Todd Warfield

This talk by Todd Warfield will share Indigenous values, practices and priorities around nature and ecology. It will explore how the connection to land can inform our environmental stewardship and community interactions, and how local tribes like the Pennacook and Massachuset have nurtured and sustained their relationship to land. A Partnership with Rolling Ridge Retreat and Conference Center and the North Andover Historical Society.

About the Leaders

Todd Warfield

As our on-staff naturalist, Todd Warfield closely observes and shares his knowledge of the diverse flora and fauna found at Rolling Ridge. He has a particular interest in herbal medicine, teaching about the medicinal properties and traditional uses of native plants. Todd also provides insights into the Indigenous history of the land, in order to help guests appreciate the rich cultural heritage tied to this region. His aim is to help visitors to forge a deeper connection with the natural surroundings at the Ridge.
