Group Spiritual Direction was first introduced in 1995 by Sr. Rose Mary Dougherty, SSND. It is this direction of Sr. Rose Mary, plus Sr. Linda’s lived experiences as spiritual director and teacher, that Sr. Linda will use to present the process of group direction.  This three session ONLINE series will teach participants in the process and offer ways to integrate it into their spiritual companioning practices.

In this series, the process of Group Spiritual Direction will be described with information on how to use it.  Then we will have the opportunity to practice this process for three sessions, one for each time we meet per month.  It will include quiet prayer, then each person will have time to share their encounters or the absence of the presence of God/Faith in their times of prayer and within their lived experiences.  With Sister Linda Greenwood's guidance, the group’s role will be to listen and provide a communal presence of contemplative listening. Come and see… Come and experience a deeper way of discerning with others one’s personal faith journey in a communal setting.

Registration Fee: $60 for the three part series on Thursday evenings, September 22, November 13, and November 10 from 7:30-9:00 pm eastern.

This ONLINE series is being held in partnership with Prairie Retreat in Iowa.
