Thanks to the gift of Zoom during the pandemic, a gathering of women has traveled together for a year.  They have been sharing their journeys and portions of their stories as they’ve responded to the well-researched work Maureen Murdock offered in her amazing book, The Heroine’s Journey.   A few months ago, group facilitator, Rev. Lee Ireland, heard many of of the women asking if they could gather in person for an overnight retreat and with restrictions lifting and the COVID vaccines available, this Gathering of Women will meet in-person  August 27-28 at Rolling Ridge in North Andover, MA.

Whether you've been involved with the monthly Gathering of Women or not, you are invited to join us on retreat from Friday, August 27 through Saturday, August 28th, with an extended overnight option through Sunday, August 29th.

With check-in as early as 4:00 pm, we will begin our gathering on Friday for dinner at 6 pm.  Our first session will be at 7 pm to greet each other in person and share in a time of worship and preparation.  We will then separate for a night of rest before we gather in the morning and begin sharing our stories with one another and that which was revealed during this past year as well as things we are still processing and desiring to learn.   We will end with dinner on Saturday.  Bring your journals and writing pen or pencils, your heart and dreams.  And please consider extending your retreat with an extra night and breakfast for just $50.

Registration costs:
- Full-time = $149 for all sessions, facilities use, Friday dinner, overnight, Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Commuter = $99 for all sessions, facilities use, Friday dinner, Saturday lunch and dinner.
- Extended personal retreat = Add $50 for Saturday overnight, Sunday breakfast, and facilities use.

About the leader(s)

Lee Ireland

Rev. Lee A. Ireland is a long-time Interim Pastor having served in many churches in CT and most recently in Rowley, MA. She is now living in Niantic, CT and listening during this time of the pandemic.   She received her M.Div. from Andover Newton Theological School, and trained as a Spiritual Director at Mercy Center, Madison, CT.  She has served in 12 different congregational settings as well as working in a women's prison and as a per diem hospital chaplain. Since 1990, she has had the joy of leading retreats. She is well aware of how life throws us curve balls and we can become distracted from our soul's journey because we focus on those things that lead us down dead-ends.  We begin to regain wonder and gratitude as we chose to take retreats and learn how to listen within so we can stay on our faith journeys, receive guidance from God and hear our hearts and souls singing in unexpected moments.  We then make new life choices that bring us greater peace within and fulfillment as we live, love and serve from that knowing.
