What happens when you construct your own place of solitude and silence on the edge of nature?  Come hear what happened for one local author when she did exactly that...
In Search of the Sacred: Creating your own Place and Space for Writing Your Sacred Story is an interactive writing workshop based on readings and writing prompts from Bodengraven’s spiritual memoir, The Sacred Shed on the Edge of the Ravine.  The workshop also includes a preliminary slide show of her shed in the making.  You’ll see images of the shed’s construction as well as glimpse pages of her art journals that document her increasing attention to nature and interactions with the world both within and without her shed.

Through your own reflective writing, you’ll be encouraged to:
  •      Fine-tune your sacred relationship with the natural world;
  •      Access a more expansive view of yourself and others;
  •      Become more mindful and attentive on a daily basis;
  •      Develop a deeper sense of your spiritual identity and reverence for the Divine.

This workshop is open to people of faith, or no discernible faith.  Reflective writing is for everyone and anyone.  No special talents, abilities, or rules apply. All you need is your laptop or pen and paper, and the desire to look at life through a fine focus.

Please Note: The Sacred Shed on the Edge of the Ravine is available for purchase via Amazon either as an e-book or paperback. Copies of the book will not be available at the workshop. However, all attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the “Companion Writing Guide to The Sacred Shed on the Edge of the Ravine.”
