Gathering of Women

Saturday, September 26, 2020 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Would you be interested in joining a group of women on a monthly basis to discuss the core issues of our spiritual journeys? This seems timely, after our period of change during the covid pandemic- with some working as always and others working remotely, while others were sheltering-in-place or unemployed or in retirement, or in a time of high concern of being evicted. The past year has been one of many emotional demands on who we are and how to function as people of faith. We each have learned new things about ourselves and our identities as women.

Come and share in this time of growth and learning. Come and share if you’ve discovered new talents you explored or never knew you had but had to develop them.

Many of you have joined me and explored “Women who run with the Wolves “ and “When the Heart waits”. Let’s gather to see how we can hear one another’s stories, and suggest future programs at RRCC. A future book I’d propose studying is “The Heroine’s Journey.” The scope is vast but let us first gather and meet one another. If you can, please join us on Sat, Sept 26, from 9:30-11:30 am.

About the leader(s)

Lee Ireland

Rev. Lee A. Ireland is a long-time Interim Pastor having served in many churches in CT and most recently in Rowley, MA. She is currently serving as the Designated Term Pastor at the Groton Congregational Church in CT.  She lives in Niantic, CT and is listening during this time of the pandemic.   She received her M.Div. from Andover Newton Theological School, and trained as a Spiritual Director at Mercy Center, Madison, CT.  She has served in 12 different congregational settings as well as working in a women's prison and as a per diem hospital chaplain. Since 1990, she has had the joy of leading retreats. She is well aware of how life throws us curve balls and we can become distracted from our soul's journey because we focus on those things that lead us down dead-ends.  We begin to regain wonder and gratitude as we chose to take retreats and learn how to listen within so we can stay on our faith journeys, receive guidance from God and hear our hearts and souls singing in unexpected moments.  We then make new life choices that bring us greater peace within and fulfillment as we live, love and serve from that knowing.
