There is a pearl within.  A beauty.  An honesty.  A truth which is often hidden by the pressures and expectations of our upbringing and our culture as women.

Rolling Ridge invites you to discover that pearl through a 10-month journey in an ONLINE "Rites of Passage."  This Gathering of Women is intended to help us explore where we are on our life journey and what guiding messages could help lead us to hear what choices we can make to follow our dreams and passions and find a greater sense of peace within.  There are "feminine rites of passage" but often, they were not discussed as we grew up.  As we age and face challenges we never anticipated through our families, careers and personal losses, it is important to discover the wisdom of those who have gone before us to let us know that we are not alone.

Through the gift of Zoom, we can gather together in this exploration and listen to the guidance from one another and also from Maureen Murdock in her personal, but also well-researched and grace-filled book, The Heroine’s Journey.  "A Gathering of Women: Journeying through the rites of passage and discovering the pearl within" will meet monthly ONLINE on the second Saturday of the month from 9:30 to 11:30 am.

In community we will discern what our hearts and souls are waiting to experience and discover the pearls within to deepen our ability to love.  We hope that you will join us on this journey.

You will receive a confirmation email with the login when you register online.  If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact us.

About the leader(s)

Lee Ireland

Rev. Lee A. Ireland is a long-time Interim Pastor having served in many churches in CT and most recently in Rowley, MA. She is currently serving as the Designated Term Pastor at the Groton Congregational Church in CT.  She lives in Niantic, CT and is listening during this time of the pandemic.   She received her M.Div. from Andover Newton Theological School, and trained as a Spiritual Director at Mercy Center, Madison, CT.  She has served in 12 different congregational settings as well as working in a women's prison and as a per diem hospital chaplain. Since 1990, she has had the joy of leading retreats. She is well aware of how life throws us curve balls and we can become distracted from our soul's journey because we focus on those things that lead us down dead-ends.  We begin to regain wonder and gratitude as we chose to take retreats and learn how to listen within so we can stay on our faith journeys, receive guidance from God and hear our hearts and souls singing in unexpected moments.  We then make new life choices that bring us greater peace within and fulfillment as we live, love and serve from that knowing.
