It’s a well-worn cliché    that clergy need to take time for “self-care.” But how many of us actually do or, if we do, how restorative is it? This Day Away will be a time of discernment to reaffirm or reassess your call to ministry or simply to take some time off for reflection, renewal, and rejoicing.
We will be using a tool called the Wellness Wheel to assess eight areas of well-being necessary for a holy and abundant life, including: spirituality, rest and play, vocation, organization, care of the body, stress resiliency, relationships and handling emotions.

Through worship, plenary sessions, group work, dyads, and alone time exercises, participants will come away with a sense of affirmation and confirmation that “this is the way, walk in it.” (Isaiah 30: 21)
