Rolling Ridge seeks an experienced and capable maintenance and facilities manager. This part-time day job has flexible hours and fits a person looking to renovate and repair a historic building that welcomes thousands of guests each year.
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong building, repair and mechanical skills to carry out repair and maintenance of an 80 year old Georgian manor house
- Competent administrative and computer skills to maintain records, track permits and process bills
- Excellent communication skills to work with staff and guests
- Ability to negotiate with contractors and manage projects beyond the scope of the staff; project management experience is a plus
- Supervisory experience to work with maintenance and grounds persons and summer pool staff
- Experienced and knowledgeable in green initiatives with regard to historic buildings
- Ability to work as part of a hospitality team, including setting up for groups
- Ability to manage a work plan in the midst of on going functions
- Ability to be available for some “on call” emergencies
