Dietary – Food Allergen Policies
Dear Group Leader,
Our kitchen staff looks forward to your stay at RR. Please inform your group of our dietary and food allergen policies below. If you have any questions, please give us a call in the kitchen (ext 15) or stop in when you arrive. Thank you!
1. If anyone in your group requires vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free meals, please provide these numbers at least 21 days in advance of your arrival.
2. If anyone in your group has a major food allergy (please see the list), please identify the individual(s) by name and allergy at least 21 days in advance.
MAJOR FOOD ALLERGENS
If you have a major food allergy from milk, eggs, fish, crustaceans, tree nuts, wheat, peanuts and soybeans please check-in with the kitchen at mealtime to enable us to tell you what is appropriate for you to dine on from the items that are on the menu.
Rolling Ridge follows The Vegetarian Society definition as one “who lives on a diet of grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, vegetables and fruits with, or without, the use of dairy products and eggs. A vegetarian does not eat any meat, poultry, game, fish, shellfish or by-products of slaughter.” Eggs and dairy in vegetarian dishes will be labeled on the buffet. Please feel free to stop by the kitchen and speak with our staff, upon your arrival.
The Vegetarian Society defines vegan as one who “does not eat dairy products, eggs or any other animal product.” Vegan meals will be labeled on our buffet.
Rolling Ridge is not a gluten-free facility. We are able to purchase gluten-free breads, pastas and grains to use in our preparations. If you have celiac disease you are welcome to bring in your sealed meals that we will happily chill or heat for you. Please stop by the kitchen upon arrival.
COOKING with ALCOHOL
Rolling Ridge will clearly label all menu items cooked with alcohol.
Rolling Ridge would love to be able to cater to everyone’s individual palate, but since that is not possible with a group buffet setting, we do the very best we can to cater to food allergies. Food “preferences” are not something that can be addressed when booking a group at Rolling Ridge.
